Quick answer
A 24/7 chauffeur service lets you book, change or ask about a trip at any hour, including pre-dawn flights and late-night arrivals. With Australian Chauffeurs Group, bookings and enquiries are open around the clock online or on 0424 31 31 31, and fares are fixed when you book. For pickups at unusual hours, book ahead and get written confirmation.
Flights land at 11pm, depart at 5am and meetings run late. A chauffeur company that only answers the phone between nine and five is no help then. Here is what a 24/7 service should cover, how to book a night or early-morning pickup, and what to check before you rely on one.
What should a 24/7 chauffeur service include?
| Feature | What to expect | How to check |
|---|---|---|
| Bookings and enquiries | Open at any hour, online and by phone | Can you reach a person at 2am? |
| Night and early pickups | Booked in advance for the exact hour you need | Your confirmation shows the pickup time and vehicle |
| Flight tracking | Pickup follows your actual landing time | You give your flight number when you book |
| Fixed fare | Agreed before you travel and includes tolls, parking and GST | The fare on your confirmation matches the quote |
| Written confirmation | Vehicle, pickup time and fare in writing | You receive it after you book |
How far ahead should I book a late-night or early-morning pickup?
As soon as your plans are fixed. A pre-booked pickup reserves a car and chauffeur for that exact hour. Short-notice bookings in the small hours depend on availability, so if your trip is tonight or tomorrow morning, call 0424 31 31 31 rather than waiting for a reply to a web form.
Does the chauffeur wait if my flight is late?
Yes. Drivers monitor flight schedules, so no extra waiting charge applies when the flight itself is delayed. For domestic arrivals, 45 minutes of waiting after landing is included. For international arrivals, your chauffeur comes into the arrivals terminal with a name sign 25 minutes after landing and waits 55 minutes at no charge. Tell us in advance if your flight number changes. A change advised ahead carries no fee, but an unnotified change can be treated as a no-show.
What if I need to cancel or change a late-night booking?
Changes are subject to the chauffeur's availability and need your approval and the driver's agreement. Cancellations follow the refund schedule in our terms and conditions:
| When you cancel | Refund |
|---|---|
| 72 hours before the booking | 70% of the booking amount |
| 48 hours before | 60% |
| 12 hours before | 50% |
| Less than 12 hours before | No cash refund; 50% kept as credit for future travel |
| No-show | No refund |

What should I ask any 24/7 chauffeur company?
- Who answers the phone at 3am, and can I speak to them?
- Is the fare fixed when I book, and does it include tolls and parking?
- Do you track my flight and move the pickup if it lands early or late?
- What is the cancellation and refund schedule, in writing?
- How will I get the driver's details before the pickup?
